As announced at the golf outing dinner this week, Hollander International Storage & Moving is sponsoring a brand new scholarship to benefit members of IMAWA.
The James R. Hollander Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be added to the opportunities for IMAWA member students in 2017. This generous gift is named to honor the memory of Hollander’s late president, Jim Hollander, who tragically lost his life a year ago. In announcing the scholarship on behalf of Hollander International and the Hollander family, Rob Wendland indicated this scholarship is the first of what they expect to be many years of honoring Jim and helping IMAWA students with their education.
The winner of the Hollander scholarship will be chosen from among all the applicants in the IMAWA’s annual program, and both mover and associate member students will be eligible to apply. So watch for applications and complete details about all the scholarships beginning in November! For the classes beginning with the fall semester in 2017, IMAWA’s four scholarships to any university, college, or certificated vocational program will include
- IMAWA’s Doug Schneider Scholarship ($1,000 per year for up to 4 years for a single student),
- two one-year $1,000 scholarships sponsored by the National Association of Independent Truckers Charitable Foundation,
- and now the new $1,000 James R. Hollander Memorial Scholarship.
